Pumpkin Power!

Not only is pumpkin delicious, but it’s also packed with health benefits. It’s rich in fiber, which aids digestion and helps keep your dog’s tummy happy. Plus, it’s low in calories, making it a guilt-free treat for your pooch!

Ingredients:

-1 cup of pumpkin, blended or pureed

-1/4 cup of unsweetened peanut butter

-2 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour

Instructions:

Preheat Your Oven: Start by setting your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of pure pumpkin puree and 1/4 cup of unsweetened peanut butter. Mix until smooth and creamy, making sure there are no lumps.

Add Flour: Gradually stir in 2 ½ cups of whole wheat flour. You can also substitute for Gluten-Free or Oat Flour. Keep mixing until a dough forms; you want it to be soft but not sticky. If the dough is too dry, you can add a splash of water or more pumpkin!

Roll & Cut: Lightly flour your surface and roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick. Use cookie cutters or a knife to cut the dough into fun shapes—bone shapes are always a hit!

Bake: Place your treats on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until they are firm and lightly golden.

Cool: Allow the treats to cool completely before serving!

      Storage Information:

Once your treats are cool, store them in an airtight container. They can last for about one week at room temperature. For longer freshness, pop them in the fridge, where they’ll stay good for up to two weeks. You can also freeze them for up to three months—just make sure to thaw before serving!

Enjoy making these delightful bites that are sure to please any pup’s palate! Happy baking!
